Went back out to middle fork after learning a few things the other day. I took my whole wedding ring collection and started with different color combos until finally sticking with green top and black bottom. I used either a gold or silver willow blade and a 1/8 oz split shot about 2 ft above lure. 12lb mono. Every hole I stopped in produced fish. Smallest was about 5" and largest was 8 1/2. I went about 1/2 mile up river from the bridge crossing and hit about 12 different spots. Partly cloudy with spots of sunshine coming through later in the day.
Fish were small but they had perfect color and and larger fish actually put up a good fight. Had a great time, great weather, lots of fish, and the river all to myself. Best river trip I've had so far.
