This was my first trip to the lower Snoqualmie river. Arrived about noon. I launched my boat from the launch under the new tolt bridge and headed up stream away from the Tolt river. Trolled at low speed and hooked a small 8" trout. Keep moving up river and found a hole full of pikeminnows all from 12-14". I would bring one up, float downstream while de-hooking him, the get my lure back the water and go over the same hole and repeat. Had to dodge the drunk golfers balls coming into the river about every 10 minutes. It must have been armatures free day, every other tee off came into the trees or the river. All trout C&R, pike minnows... not so much. Saw some large jumpers but didn't get any. I was trolling a wedding ring on 6lb test. Yah 6lb, I'm crazy like that. Left at 5pm right as my battery was about to die.
I learned a few things and will be back again now that the water is calm.
Water like glass, visibility around 6ft, clear sky.
