My fishing day was really slow. The river I was told had dropped a foot since last week. There were lots of salmon being taken from shore though. Guys running 6ft leaders whipping 9 foot poles bringing in fish by the tails and heads. Most were dark boots, but a few really nice silvers came to shore. Shore was stacked with fishermen every 4 feet with people casting over each other. Not exactly the kind of fishing I like but I did learn quite a bit and plan to return once the bait restriction is lifted. If I'm ever lost in the woods and starving I know how to illegally catch fish now.......whatever.

Also went to Salmon river. Did not see a single fish anywhere in the water. Water was low and clear.

I ran two poles, one with 15lb main on a spinning setup, and one with 20lb main on a baitcast. It didn't matter since I didn't catch a single thing.

Skies were clear, water in the 40's, low flow and fish on the move.
