Hiked up with my son and dog on a very rain soaked day. We were rewarded in 2 hours of fishing with 5 good sized trout. The biggest being about 15"-16". All were caught on rooster tails of varying color and size. This was my 4th time up. We usually go in the middle of summer. Maybe this early on the trout aren't spooked. The lake and trails all show heavy use, lots of trash and other debris. The gravel roads have some new big trenches dug in a bit higher up. I am guessing to stop 4x4 use, so this may help slow down on the wear and tear in the area.
If you go, grab a piece of trash on the way down, help this little lake out.
