went to the green today in search of some steelhead.Earlier this week I went down to get white fish but only watched as people came down and hooked fish after fish while i could not hook a thing. So today I go down with a float a pink jig and fish at flaming geyser. After about 20 minutes i made a cast up stream and got hung up so i went up above it to try to get it off. Well it came off and there was a fish with it! when it got closer to shore i realized it was a white fish and a giant! It fought pretty good and turned out to be a 17.5" whitefish!!!. That was the only thing I ended up catching today. I walked up to the corner and the fish checker talked to me and I asked him if there were any steelhead caught today and he said there was not. But he did say there were some caught yesterday. The water was low and crystal clear and it was a little windy. I fished from 11 to 3.
