We fished all the slots between the RR bridge and the Sky with nothing to show for our efforts. We also fished the pool with the same results. Fishing the Sky above the Wallace I did have a solid hookup but lost it to a nail-knot failure. I suspect that the fish was a steelhead but I never saw it. We fished eggs, hardware, a float/jig combo and my guaranteed steelhead drift gear. The hookup was on a ΒΌ ounce jig in black and cerise. I think that for chinook we were a couple weeks early but a day in the river is better than working.
