I camp near this river once a year. The first time the water was nice and high. all the other years it has been extremely low. i found a suitable looking place down the river where there were bank undercuts and the water wasnt as rough or fast moving. I set up near a person who was there all day. They said that they had caught six three-incher trout in the morning... Just to tell you how low the water was, the other person snagged her lure in the rocks so she waded to the middle of the river and unsnagged it. We saw two HUGE salmon in the river jumping but they didnt bite along with a six inch trout that didn't bite. I dont know if its the part of the river I fish, but that was rather depressing. A strange part was when the clouds dumped on us the river rose very quickly and soaked our tents. It turns out that it was one of the only places in Washington that rained while the rest was experiencing 90-100 degree weather!
