I fished for 5 hours on opening day with people less than 10 feet away from me on either side. I only snagged someone else's line twice during that entire 5 hours. If you cast OVER the lines upriver, and pull your line in UNDER the lines downriver, you shouldn't get snagged. Keep in mind that it's been open LESS THAN A WEEK. The crowds will thin out with time.

the trouble with fishing down there other than the obvious..is the fact just about every fisherman down there has a different length leader, different amount of weight and different length rods. add all that up and it usually spells trouble. I try to fish next to people that look like they know what they're doing after a short observation from the shore. Good fishing though, if everyone is on the same page.
