What a great day today, was a little concern due to yesterday's closure for the Indian Tribal fishing, apparently they didn't catch all the fish. I arrived around 7am and someone was already fishing at THE SPOT. But he was nice to let me fish with him, he also had a nice big net. I started with orange corky and black yarn and on my second cast first pink on. I would say we both had our limits within 2 hours. But then I just found out you can keep 6 pinks if 2 of them are under 24 inches, is that right? My biggest one was 24 inches, so I could of continued fishing for 2 more, but I wasn't sure at that time. I will definitely have to go out again. But I really want to hook up on Kings, just be patience I guess.

Nice job Kinghunter. Unfortunately i didn't notice the river was closed yesterday and someone told me about it today on the river while i was fishing this evening. Neither did the several hundred other guys on the river. Honest mistake. Good job buddy. Hit me up lets do some fishin.

Hmm. I don't recall hearing anything about an increased limit based on size. Guess I will have to find out before going home with too many fish in one trip. I haven't hit the fresh water areas yet, spent most of sunday trolling from redondo to dash point and back with one disaster after another, broke a downrigger, lost a bunch of gear, only managed one fish in 10 hrs. My kids have freshwater licenses and I was thinking of taking them to the river to try their luck on something bigger than a perch or crappie.

The regs say up to 4 adults may be retained. page 22 defines adults salmon as chinook 24" or more coho 20" or more and pink, chum, and sockeye 12" or more. Also the Puyallup was open from Freeman to the Carbon on Sunday. So you may have been ok fishing on sunday.

I got up and was at the river by 5:30... NO Cars.. i realised it was closed in the parking lot and put it all away and went home.

Its 6 fish limit- only 4 adults 2 of which can be king/coho/chum. Pinks have a 12" adult minimum.
