I snuck out for a couple hours after work and took fellow member MattyG with me. He has his inhibitions and frustrations fishing in rivers so it took me all week to coax him to come try it. We arrived near "The spot" about 6:30p- Tommytitan was already there but advised me to find a different spot. I talked to a nice guy who let me slide my rig next to him so MattyG and I could fish and have room. I was using orange/orange- MattyG was using pink on pink. I landed my first pink on 3rd cast and had couple others fall off right at the bank. I stopped fishing for a bit and was watching how MattyG was doing. A few adjustments here and there, BAM!!! FISH ON!!- After that, we both were hooking up and had a double on at least 3x's. I can't say the people near us were doing as well as we were, but they were nice people. No Kings or Silvers today, but the smile MattyG had when we were driving home was priceless, he can't wait to get back there.....On a side note, we also missed a horrible accident when we were leaving on River Road. Not sure what happend, but I am hoping it wasn't any anglers(children) trying to cross the freeway..It didn't look good.. anyone know what happened?? Be safe everyone.

Nice report Jens...and I agree, it's such a good feeling watching someone 'come alive' as they begin to get the hang of things and they start getting results! It's simply FM.

my wife and i were pulling out and saw the police cars. one person riding a bike which was an angler older man and a motor cyclist and lots of glass on the road. it was pretty bad hopefully everyone was alright. ambulance took them to the hospital. something needs to be done about river road where all of us fisherman fish at and cross. i was thinking about a petition of cross walks for fisherman. any suggestions to all that read.

When my son and I go fishing in the evening, we don't usually leave until dark. We take our flashlights with us that way when we cross the road we can flash them at the cars so they an see us. The Puyallup has been amazing fishing for us last week.

Both me and my son have the headlight things. Even last night, some guy was crossing the road and he was very hard to see. They need to put some reflector material on waders.
How old is your boy Nitro?
This Pink season is unbelievable. I have caught sooo many, that I have toned down to my trout/bass rod.
We will be there sunday o-dark thirty. Few WaLakes members are meeting there too.
