The wife and I fished the Puy River Friday from about noon til sundown ( when we had to head back to Idaho). Our first time fishing that river and for salmon. We had a great time!!! Ended up fishing down by the recycleing place. Saw lots of fish being caught by everyone there had a couple guys come down make 6 casts caught limit and left. As for us wife was doing good at hooking the fish but lost the frist 6 or 7 she hooked in to then the 1st fish she got in the net was hooked in the side so had to let it go. Me I couldn't get a fish hooked for anything when I do and got it in the net it was foul hooked so let it go. Then finally got another hooked and in the net it was a 4 lb Silver. We left for home with 7 pink and 1 silver. We are already planning on going back in a few days as soon as posible.

Again we had a really great time the only bad thing I saw was all the trash that people left and kept floating by bottles and cans, I caught as much as I could but couldn't get it all. I am no environmentalist but PLEASE people lets keep the river and banks CLEAN.
