This river is slow compared to the past few weeks. Not as many pinks anymore. It is not easy to limit out right now. I was there from 6am to 2:30pm today. I only landed 5 salmon that was hooked in the mouth the whole day.

Kept 3 pinks and a silver. The pinks were mostly small bucks and the silver was a hatchery buck. It was probably 4-5 pounds.

I had one silver that was hooked in the tail. It felt and fought like a king. It made 2-3 runs downstream and my drag was singing. I chased it downsteam and landed it. What a rush it was fighting that foul hook silver. It was let go to spawn.

Good job return, at least you're not like many of the other fishermen on the puyallup and kept the silver. I'm glad theres still some of us that return foul hooked fish no matter how painful it was.

Where on the river were you fishing. I haven't had any luck all last week where I was.

Thanks tommyt. It felt good to let that fish go. If every foul hook fish is kept, we probably wouldn't have a healthy fishery in the future. Hey catfish. I was fishing upstream from the 167 bridge.

Hey thanks. I here they closed the lower portion of the river sun. through tues. I think I need to try my luck elsewhere on the river cause my luck ran out on the lower part.
