10/4/2009 9:02:00 AMI usually use size 2 or even size 1 hooks to fish for the pinks, but after losing several silvers that I had hooked, I figured that I would have better chance of landing silvers w/ a bigger hook. So, bigger hook for bigger fish. :-) I'm sticking w/ the size 4 hook for now on.

10/5/2009 9:36:00 PMIt's the Stillaguamish River that goes under I5 between exits #208 and #210. There's a sandbar that you can see on your right while you're on I5 North. That's an okay spot though it can get quite busy. The other popular spot is on Pioneer Rd which you get to by turning right after getting off at exit #208 on I5N and going west for about a mile.

10/7/2009 11:24:00 AM@Idstud, you should be able to find some pictures via Google or Bing image search. I would post a pic, but I'm on the road right now. I usually go w/ a size 2/0 red hook, 1 or 2 corkies, 10# leader (5-6 ft), and tie the yarn half on the hook and half on the line where it's knotted on the hook. That way the yarn doesn't move around. Oh, and I use a 1/2 to 3/4 oz weight to ensure that I can 1) cast far enough to the hole and 2) get deep enough down the hole where the silvers are biting more so than the pinks. Hope that helps.

10/7/2009 5:19:00 PMdamn nice fish dude. cant wait to get one in my hands. hooked a few, even hooked a few kings. but cant seal the deal yet this year. but ill be out every weekend giving it my best. and if the sky dont start producing some silvers like i know it can, i may take the long drive from tukwilla to the stilli to try my luck
