I went to the Carbon last night between 4:30-6:30 (gets dark early now) and brought one silver home. This silver was white when I caught it but black when I started for home. I cut the gills and laid it in the water on a stringer and I could see it get dark. Meat was bright and eggs were great.

Hey,
I fished the Carbon on Sunday afternoon till dark and caugt 1 silver, lost 1 and caught 3 pinks were decent color, but let all the pinks go. I too noticed the silver that I kept was chrome but later turn dark and did have some nice eggs also. Are the eggs good for steelhead too?

yea the eggs are great for steelhead you just need to learn how to cure them properly.there is a lot of little things that can ruin them without even realizing it
