A friend and I hiked into Dusty lake about 5:00am Saturday filled up the float tubes and off we went. Paddle out to the three rock structures in the middle left portion of the lake. I tossed out a rod with rainbow power nuggets with a 4' leader and on my second cast landed an 18.5" brown. We fished this spot for another hour and my friend and I had no luck so we moved over to an area a little less windy (east side off the point I think). Landed two more fat 16" rainbows. All in all we landed 3 fish in four hours but my buddy lost what at a glace looked to be a 5+ pounder and I lost a couple good ones. This lake is just beautiful and I would rather fish here and catch one nice fish than chase those 8" planters that are in so many other lakes.
