Picked up D-wizzle by 4:15am with Kinghunter and Goin_postal not too far behind us. We wanted to get to the hotspot early for those reports of the b-run of Silvers. I had another buddy meet us there too, so one of us would be able to secure the hot spot on the drift. We were the first ones on the river, and held patiently in the cold at exactly an hour before sunrise. D-wizzle's first cast, "Fish on!" Those words were called out through out the morning and all into the afternoon. The only frustrating thing about this trip, there weren't any silvers!! When you have a big monster King on, it isn't a quick fight. There is no way you can control these pigs, and when you do have to leave your spot, well, 2 people will come and take it. I did take home a nice almost chrome King about 12lbs and so did Kinghunter. I did see 1 Silver landed, but of course the most annoying angler on the river got him. My advice to anyone who wants to go down there, I was running 15lb main and 12lb leader with 2/0 Gama's, take a kid!! They or you will have an easy chance to catch yourself a 30lb ++ monster King. They maybe on the darker side and boots, but, just to experience something like that on your end of your line, is surreal. Just remember to cast right after the guy below you does and you will make friends, pretty frustrating with people casting out of order and getting tangled with everyone, don't be "that guy/gal."
