10/29/2009 9:14:00 PMIm not sure of the different holes it was my first time fishing this river. I saw what Im thinkin is called the log jam hole with all the pileons and fallen trees and water weaving all over the place. I was down river just a bit from there. Have to go down a steep lil hill then wade through a lil hole to shore and then pretty much a 200 yd section that seemed like it didnt matter too much where you was fishing but faster water seemed like a lil more action.

10/30/2009 8:10:00 AMNice flinginpooh. How big were those chums? They must fight hard to snap your 20# line. Jens and I are planing on getting us some dogs soon. Hopefully they will start coming in to our local rivers - puyallup/carbon/nisqually.

10/30/2009 9:37:00 AMWhat fun! Try Maxima line, it really is in my opinion the best stuff out there. PS: remember all the manufacturers strongly recommend replacing your line every season, and that's not just because they want to make a few $$. Havn't been down there in a good long while but if memory serves me correctly that stretch of river has or had all kinds of barbed wire fencing and posts to keep the cows home. I would guess it would not matter much who's line your running once you hit that kind of stuff. Good on you dude!

10/30/2009 3:36:00 PMIm not sure of the barb wire. The chums and this is just a guess cause I didnt weigh any of them ranged between 8 and lil over 20 lbs most of them was around 12-15 lbs. But the current along with all the snags in the water that they try to hide in make it a tough fight. The have sharp teeth that nick the line up is what Im thinkin. They jump sooooo much and thrash around when hooked.
