Another great day on the Snake River. Launched the boat at Couse Creek in Hell's Canyon at 11:00 am, Boated upriver six or seven miles to a good stretch of water that we call windy point, put the lines out and my rod starts jerking, "FISH ON", turns out to be a little two lb. Smallmouth, finished the run without another hit. Went down river a couple of miles to another good drift, the lines were in about twenty minutes when Barb's rod gets a violent tug, a beautiful silver Steelhead comes out of the water about two feet, and the fight is on, turned out to be a gorgeous wild hen. After that it was non-stop "fish-on", caught eight Steelies, most of them wild, we kept the two shown in the pictures. The colors red and hot tiger got about equal hits. River temp. was 49.4*, intermittent sun, a stiff breeze with choppy water at the start, ended with very still glassy water. Netted the last Steelhead at 4:00 pm, then headed home. How lucky and blessed we are to be able to do this, can't wait to get back out there. Ken & Barb
