Met up with Kinghunter around 7am to fish the low tide. There were surprisingly a lot more anglers than I was expecting, but we found a nice spot along the bank by the 101 bridge. We both have never fished the whole plunking a corky and yarn technique, but we had our game faces on. The flow of the Creek was very slow, but we had no problem hooking up with leaves and debris, no fish. Kinghunter's lack of patience led him across the mud bog where most of the action we saw happening from our spot. I followed him about an hour later. He had caught 2 and released them both. They were pretty dark. His fish reminded me of those big buck Pinks I caught last month. Finally I was able to piece the puzzle together and felt that familiar tug on the end of my line. "Fish on!" Fish off.....If you have never fished here, be aware of the quick incoming tide. It came in a lot faster than we thought as it cleared out everyone. There were a few willing to brave it, but not us.
We both towards the end, were using a normal corky/yarn set up with about 3-5ft leader and about 1/2 an oz. I was using chartreuse and Kinghunter was using orange/red.
I am glad I fished here, I know now where to go and have confidence I will get fish.
