Kinghunter and I decided to give the Skok a try after fishing Kennedy Creek. We parked at an empty parking lot at Hunters Farm, bad sign. We started off where I believe is the old campground area. No one was seen fishing up and down the river except tribal netting. The water level was very high and moving very fast. The clarity was nill. We gave up after about 30 minutes and decided to try spots along the Purdy Cut-off rd. Not many cars also had me thinking no fish. I gave up after 15 minutes and Kinghunter gave up about 45 minutes after me.
I was planning on fishing here this weekend, but with the conditions we fished today, I would choose somewhere else to fish. I think with the nets coming out Thursday, maybe the bite will turn back on, but with what I dealt with today, the water level has got to come down for it to be tempting me to go back.

Hey Fishinrob- Tribal usually doesn't net on wednesdays, they had 2 nets in 2 different areas stretched across the entire river section..
The only thing that would pass thru those nets would be....hmm..nothing

we had our share of netting ,they actually came up into our hole three times and they got there net stuck so they couldnt net for awhile i guess kharma came around to see them.tribal police came out because one fishermen had words with them so they threatened each other with shotties and so they got the tribal police even though they were just as guilty as the fishermen but tribal said they can do what they want to do and where and we may as well get used to it cause we have no rights they have all the rights .I was shocked to hear tribal enforcement say it in a degrading way towards us non native fisherpersons.I did talk to the native fishing the nets and he said not many silvers and the ones they got were small .IM definately getn a pass for next year.We got the halloween fishing on video tape was awsome.metzler park should be popn soon im watchn .
