After brief baby duty, my son and I left the house and arrived at Kennedy Creek. Low tide was a little after 10:00am, so we wet our lines about 8:45am. I talked with a nice fella who was leaving because a monster brute Chum broke his rod. I was excited. It was windy, rainy, cold, and muddy. Kinghunter was already fishing when we got to the hole. I was using orange and my son was using green. About a half an hour, that familiar bounce bounce pause FISH ON! I thought for sure everyone heard me, but unfortunately Kinghunter kept on fishing and my fish took him directly into his line. Really? I could only hope the hook would stay buried while we tried to untangle his web of jealousy. Kinghunter finally decided took cut his line and I resumed my battle. Man these things can fight. Kinghunter graciously netted my opponent. We fished for about an hour and nature put a whoopin on us as we called it a day. We also ran into JFKies and Larry- hope you guys got into some fish before that tide came in!! I drove home smiling because this is my first Chum. Picked up some apple, cherry and hickory wood chips on the way home as well to smoke my conquest.
