I fished Minter again on both Saturday and Sunday, and caught a ton of fish both days. I showed up around noon on sunday while the tide was just barely starting to go down. Fishing was slow until the water level droppped about 30 min later. Once the water came down though it was game on! Once again I had all of the snaggers out there gettin mad cuz I was hooking up at least 1 out of every 5 casts, and most were in the mouth. I landed at least 25 fish and 15-20 were legal. I ended up leaving at 430 with 3 of the most chrome chum I've ever seen. They looked so good that I actually baked one up, and it was surprisingly good!! Just bake it a little longer than normal and in something that allows the grease to drain and they're not nearly as oily as people would have you believe. On the downside, the people there are seriously horrible! I was surrounded by a bunch of idiots and their kids who have no idea what order to cast in and spend all day snagged on the opposite bank or logs. I was nice enough to walk out to retrieve other peoples crap from a log because they didn't have waders only a couple times before I had to start saying no. Also the guy right next to me asked me to help remove a hook from a foul hooked fish and when I went to release it he grabbed it and said he didn't care if it was foul hooked. So the next time I broke off I went to my tackle box and called WDFW while I retied. They never showed and the guy ended up leaving with a total of 3 foul hooked fish, all of them chromers. Dickhead.... Remember light weight, green and orange and a 3-4 ft leader, and if it's foul hooked just release it!!
