I went to the Carbon today thinking that i might have some luck, tried finding a way to park and fish close to the hatchery. Never really found a solid spot so i went back to where i was yesterday. When i came over the hump onto the trail and said WTH!!!!!! When i left after dark last night the river was ok, so i dunno what happened but the river was running high and muddy. Drove an hr for nothing.....Frustrating. I think Minter Creek is gonna have to be my final choice with all the rain....i hate combat fishing.

Thanks for your report. Sorry it was a wasted trip. You need to look at the http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/uv/?site_no=12094000 before planning trips. The river raised almost 2 feet over night. I was hoping to fish on thanksgiving now I don't know. You also need to fish the rivers at the different levels to see what is fishable. It had to be a warm rain melting the snow that raised it so much. In order to get toward the hatchery you have to park in the city and walk the trail.
