Got there around 1:00 pm and started to pound the water with fishing tackle. Lots of KFC but no hook ups. Had 2 nice steelheads caught above me but no more for that day. Tried a bit of night fishing but was ill prepared and had no grabs. Visibility was 2-3ft and outside temperature was in the 40's. We stayed over night and started to work the water later in the morning around 10:00 am. That morning dipped into the 20's. No grabs for me but the boats were doing fairly well in the later morning. Especially one guide boat who managed to land 4 steelheads upriver and down river from me. Seen around 12 landed from boats but none from shore anglers. Colors that were being used was pink, hot pink, red, pink mixed with lighter color yarns with or without chartreuse or pink cheaters. Crankbait was also landing fish but yarn seemed the most productive. Over all seemed Great for boats. Most fish were being caught right off shore between 5-20 from shore. We fished above the boat launch. We didn't catch anything but it was sure fun and worth the experience. Fish ON!
