sorry this is so late but jensen,kinghunter,fishinsince2,and i were the first on the river before dark.tried globalling for the hole dark time and nothing.as soon as light hit i went to float and jig with fishingsince2 and the rest.first saw a local nail a fish so i asked his buddy what depth they are running and he said about 2 1/2 feet so i made my adjustments and fished for about 20 mins with nothing.the local lands another,so im casting the drift he is in cause he said there is a nice channel there and still nothing,i look over at the guy i asked the depth from and realized his was at 6ft so i went to 6ft and as i cast out i noticed a knotted loop in my line so im trying to get it out and looked up and my bobber was down,i went back to getting the loop out and realized that its a fish just as someone was telling me,so i said screw the loop and set the hook and sure enough it still had it in its mouth over that period of time.i landed the fish and before i took the tension of i gave one more tug to get the fish away from the water and SNAP goes the rod.it was the new lami that they made just for wholesale sports and is the gayest rod ever so dont buy one trust me i really never like it anyway.took it back and now have a ST.CROIX very expensive but seems worth it
