Well... Another day without a single fish. Me and bigsmooth headed down and started the morning at Barrier Dam at about 6 am. Quite a few people there. I started out running a bobber and jig setup using eggsacs. No action there so I started flinging spoons at 'em. Still no action so I tried drifting corky and yarn. Still not even a hit. Almost netted one for a guy but it turned at the last second and popped the line in the same motion. Later on I reeled in a super size treelimb with about 100$ worth of gear stuck to it (including the spoon I lost). Spent a while cuttin' that apart and decided to head downstream to blue creek around noon. Got there and started out a little ways below the tube flingin' a bobber and jig. Still nothin'. Ended up tryin' pretty much everything in the arsenal and making our way all the way down to the mouth of blue creek. Finally decided to call it quits and head back towards the truck around 3. Did see about 6 fish over the course of the day. Guess it just wasn't the day for us. I'm startin' to get tired of sayin' that! Hopefully it starts heatin' up sometime soon. I ain't ready to give up yet! Good luck out there.

Great fishin with you my man. It was a slow painful day, but at least we seen a few fish taken. That was my first time at Blue Creek and I most likely will be back. Until next time :)

They are there, not like they was in dec but there still in there. My family went down again this weekend I had to stay home and tend the honey doos. They took 5 this weekend. But there boat took a hit. They need to do a lil fixing to hydrolics now. I am hoping ill be down there within the next week or so.

dude i know exactly what your saying im havng my worst year of fishing. haven't landed a steelhead yet. grabbed atleast 4 or 5 for buddies and other people. even hooked up my grandpa and buddies with rods and the first time they used there new rods they caught fish on them. thinking about it i think i have only had 3 hits this whole year and i got nothing to show for it. don't give up man i haven't so you can't. if we can just manage for another 3 months we can get a crack at summer steelies.
