Showed up on the river at about 0445, fishing about 50 yards down river from the fishing boundary. This was my second day in a row out, the previous being an 8 hour day of getting skunked so I was pretty intent on finding the fish. Started throwing out the glo ball with a little red yarn and steelhead "lunker lotion", finding the sweet spot around the snags and bam, first fish on at 0530. Thanks Jim for helping me land my first ever steelhead btw! Got her in, shook off the excitement and got the line back in the water and slammed into the second an hour later! Couldn't believe my luck, off the river and on the way back to Silverdale by 7 am! What a great morning, hope everyone else had similar luck that day! My first steelhead, can't wait to go back! Two 9 pound hens btw.
