Fished the Sky for a couple of hours from the sultan river area. Nice water, clear but high. Didn't have that much time and got there a little late, no takers in the steelhead catergory, but my brother hooked into a big whitefish that got us super excited for a couple minutes. Had to make it back to seattle for class, but wanted to check out the river for the first time since the summer opening. Talked to the creel checker lady from WDFW and she said there'd been no fish caught around the area, even from some of the many guide boats launched from Sportsmen Park, but I left early, about 9AM, so it looks like I'm going to have to head out. Wanted to show my brother what big water looks like, he's just back from new york fishing pocket water for seven inch cutthroat, so I had to show him what it's like out west. I'll be back out there later on in the week if the weather cooperates.
