We fished the PO River from usk to Newport both Sat and Sunday and boated over 33 Pike, most of the fish were in the 28-34 inch range. We fished from about 9:00am till 3:00pm. I also caught 2 tagged fish that i reported back to the Kalispel Tribe. All the fish we caught are swimming back in the river for everyone else to catch. The weather was hot and sunny with a nice breeze all weekend. Went back up on Monday evening about 5:30 and we caught 6 total in 2 hours. The water is down a little over a foot in the past week. Fishing is starting to finally stablilize and the bite seems to be on. Just a little tip for everyone use the flourocarbon leaders rather than the steel leaders. Good luck fishing everyone.
