Went up to reiter this evening after work. Saw 4 fish caught but none for me just one take down and that was it. Saw a lot of fish jumping the eagle was trying hard to pick em off so was I. One old duff up there was flossing the fish with about 10 - 12 feet of leader and was using a red fly saw him hook and loose one and then he caught one, strange enough it was hooked just outside the mouth. He tried to say he ate it because the hook went from the inside of the mouth to the outside. Anyhow water is starting to get real low I could see the bottom half way across the river. Unless there is anymore snow melt its gonna get super low over the next week. Good luck all.

Thanks for the report Chef. My buddy was up there the other day and that Eagle swooped down while he was battling his fish. The fish fighting for dear life, made a life saving move by doing weird contortions and rolls causing the leader to snap. My buddy and Eagle lost out. (:
I bet that old duff thought he was fishing too, "ate it" yeah ok.

That eagle will eventually get wrapped up in someones line. When that happens hell is gonna break loose as that eagle thrashes about to get off. Will not be a pretty picture.

That eagle, stole two fish laying on the shore at Reiter several weeks ago. I felt bad for the guys who lost their fish. But that's why you need to keep them on a stringer attached to your hip. Thanks for the report Chef!

He goes for a lot of hooked up fish there, I tried to get a video of him the other day, but wasn't quick enough with the camera.

bummer on losing a fish to the eagle. i'm sure if it was laying on the rocks they had already marked their catch cards!

That's not a normal size eagle either, it's huuuuge! One good thing about the eagle, you know when someone has a fish, he comes out of no where!
