Day 3 was spent on the big water...Lake Pend Orielle, ID...we caught and released many smallmouth bass, cutthroat trout, kokanee, and dolly varden...some up to about 3 pounds. We did keep a 3 pound mackinaw trout and a couple big rainbows. Bear turns in the heads for gas $$$. Sorry no pics - still windy and a battle day of fishing, but we ate well that night!

But this report is about Day 4: smallmouth bass fishing on the Pend Orielle River (the Washington side). Bear took me to a couple of his favorite sloughs and we did very well in the morning. Between us we caught (and released) 20+ fish which included multiple 2 to 3 pound smallies and even some decent largemouth bass. Plastic worms and craws...thanks for sharing this place Bear! These smallmouth are fun to fight!
