One of the most awesome things about this website is that a guy can hook up and fish with other fishermen. Today I got the chance to fish with none other than Medic 1 and JBball50 on a section of the Yakima River just south of West Richland. After meeting up with the guys at a local gas station we headed down to the launch where the three of us floated the river in Medic's 18 foot jet sled. Both guys tried a number of crankbaits like Worden's Timber Tiger in crawfish while I stuck to my 3" Kalin's grubs in Smoke and Pumkin pepper. The first half dozen fish we caught lacked any size but still it was a good time. I broke the ice telling them my "Save the Minnow " story and the "I aint usin' Worms! " story and both them looked at me as if I was a few eggs short of a full carton! This trip was very special indeed because Medic's being deployed to Iraq shortly and It was an honor for me to be on the water with him because I am prior service myself. JB went a bit without a fish for a while(13 TOTAL)but near the end he hooked up with the biggest fish of the trip on a Rapala only to have it scream drag and shake loose!
