well after all the discouraging reports on the puke, my dad hating the combat fishing on the skok, and hearing of a few fish being caught off mounts road me and my dad decided to make the trip with a friend from work. now since my dad isnt the religous fisherman he used to be we didnt quite make it to the river until arround 9 ish and after talking to the fish counter we learned that the fishing was slow until the evening so we were a bit discouraged there as well but non the less we decided to give it a go, after all i just got a new levelwind from my girl and i had to try it out. the main drift was way too crowded so we decided to walk down stream a bit where only one other guy was who told us that he had been hooking them just not landing them. anyways after about four hours of being cold hungry and having no fish to speak of we decided to leave. however, the fish counter did say fishing was picking up and he was seeing arround 6 fish a day now. and i did see a huge chromer ( atleast 15+) rolling and jumping right in our drift. i am deffinately going to go back next weekend and give it a try hopefully some rain comes cause they're stacked at the mouth ( forgot to say boats are slaying them at the mouth).
