I took My son and his two friends down to mirabeau park, hit the river about 7:30pm, I tried out my fly rod with an elk caddis fly, all i can say is i have much to learn about fly fishing lol

Austin,Kaleb,Kobe were using modified panther martin's and rooster tails tried an assortment of colors before Austin went with a blue fox chartreuse glow n dark spinner, it started with a 12'' rainbow, I unhooked him was putting him back in the water and bang hooks a bigger monster fought with it for 5min finnally pulled it in another rainbow 24'' guessing about 2-3#, C&R 3 cast later another about same size! C&R by this time I had Kaleb yelling fish on so I hurry down to him and he had a real fighter on line the trout was taking to to air lol kaleb fought with his fish for more then 10min before one last jump out of the water and the fish won that battle!
once again now Austin yelling again for me fish on , I unhooked another rainbow even bigger then his previous one 26-28" 3# or better. The biggest rainbow I have seen in awhile!

even tho Kobe and myself didn't caught anything , He still had a blast and so did I, my son just out fished me last night, and can't wait to go again

I really need to get a camra or a phone with a flash for our next trip
