What gets me is when I run into someone that is fishing so unconventional (legal of course) for an area that I almost always do double takes to make sure they aren't someone that gets out once a year (like me LOL) or new to the sport or something. When you find those guys and they'll talk, find out exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it IMO ;-) Thanx for the report!

9/3/2010 8:23:00 PMAnother nice thing even when they don't talk is just watch what they're doing. They often read water very well, know where snags are, etc. I used to have a couple spots down pretty well a long time ago but now I am a newbie everywhere!

9/4/2010 3:33:00 PMit sure was nice to lay into that first salmon and that is exactely what i did when that older guy was only casting about ten feet in front of him. but i did end up trying out there again today and couldnt get anything using the same technique but i did see one silver and a huge bright king get pulled out. i did also get stoped by four different game wardens. they're out there and doin their job so if you try it out make sure your following the rules another old timer saved me from a ticket today for using illegal gear, im sure glad he warned me when he did.
