Hit the POR Labor Day w/my friend Pat Perez. After launching at Cusick we headed South hitting the pilings & weed line's as we went along. Early on i lost two big LMB off the same small strech of weed line & was really bummed. But soon after we had boated (3) SMB & lost one Pike right at the boat. After the brief excitement the wind picked up & the fishing just died. But as soon as the wind stopped the bite was on. Pat caught a 4-5 lb Squaw that i quickly dispatched, & then i got my redemption. I flipped a worm up a weed line & it got nailed! After a tense minute of drag peeling excitement I landed a 6 lb - 2oz LMB. Over the last few hours of fishing we landed (4) SMB over 2 lbs, & (2) over 3 lbs with a handful of smaller ones in between. Overall a great day on the water.** All fish released including the Squaw, but I don't think he was feeling too good floating upside down the way he was : ) _Bluegrouse Bill
