Fished the Samish for a couple of hours after work. It was high tide, so had to cast from the side dodging salad and pylons. Caught a 15" Cutthroat on a Blue/Silver Cast Master and had a large Chinook hooked for about 3 seconds until it jumped and pulled it out of it's mouth. Only saw 1 person land a Chinook. In two hours saw about 30 jump and had an audience of two seals waiting for me to hook one. Fun fishing, but wished it could have been more productive. Trying to decide if I really want to jostle for position at low tide. I don't like that kind of "fishing" and am a bit intimidated by large, loud, groups of agressive fisherman (I'm a newbie, small, woman fisher), but after 4 trips without luck.... Any comments?
