I fished from the snoqualmie boat launch to about 1 mile upstream. There were smolt jumping everywhere but I didn't see anything of any size at all. The smolt kept biting on my eggs and I caught two about 10 inches, so I switched to a spoon so I wouldn't catch the stealhead smolt anymore. I trolled for about an hour and finally got a strike in this one hole so I drifted back down and trolled over the hole again and got another strike. I tried again and nothing, maybe an early steelhead? I remember last year right after all the pinks came up, they were followed by a bunch of I think they were summer run steelhead, but I can't remember what time of year they came through, does anyone know when they come through? thanks and good luck out there.

Summer runs would be getting dark at this point, any chromers would be early winter fish showing up.

Isn't the Snoqualmie under Selective Gear Rules right now? Last time I checked you couldn't start using bait until December. Kinda dumb if you ask me, but that's the way it is. Always check the regs before fishing, even if you think you know the rules, they do change sometimes.
