Fished the hols for about 45 minutes after dropping off my wife. Caught the last bit of low tide before the current went kaput. Third cast fish on! I saw three fish on the bank when I got there, but as soon as the current stops the fish are gone. They are moving straight up stream. I had a second fish on after another ten minutes on Knotabassturd's eggs, good lookin out man! Was a great 45 minutes, but I'm getting a net, because I lost both fish at the bank. Probably about six pounds on the first fish, 10 on the second. Spent most of my time helping this young kid learn how to drift fish, rather than fishing. I figure karma will give me my reward tomorrow morning at sunrise. When the tide was coming in I was the only one hooking into fish. I'm pretty sure that I've got it down pat, so I'll bank the fish tomorrow. If you're out on the river I'll show you what I'm doing to get the fish, because we need to catch these buys before they go upstream and turn dark! Closed above 405 and I'm almost certain the upper river is loaded with hungry fish. There's been a school of fish every night for the past week. Get out there and catch them while they're bright! And if you bring a net, be ready to net my fish. Hahaha!
