Got up to the sound of rain. Got to the river a little after 6:00 at a spot just out of town. It was still dark. Wished I had brought my Lowes camo LED ballcap.

It was my first time fishing for Coho on a river. Was using brass/crome Dick Nite. Fished for an hour, saw two roll and got one good bump. The bump made my morning. Then it was off to work.

Last week there were reports of vandalism. I've often wondered if these reports were scare tactics to keep the number of anglers down. Unfortunately, there were three piles of glass in the parking area. Damn sad.

Sorry to hear you didn't have any luck. I was one of the guys whose car got vandalized last week. Personally I wouldn't try to scare someone away from a good fishing hole, there's plenty of fish to go around. I reported the vandalism on this site so others would be aware of a potential risk and to be on the lookout for shady characters. Cost me $200.00 and a lot of heartburn. I'll definitely be fishing where there is a greater public view of my car.

jnoetzelmann I didn't mean to accuse you of fabricating the vandalism to keep other's away. It's just hard for me to imagine that this problem is so wide spread. There was another report of break in and theft a Rotary today.

As far as not having anyluck- I was stoked to get a hit!
At least there's hope :)

Theres not many fish out there I fished the coho derby this past weekend. The fish are running late latest report was 19 boats with 75 fish at Sea-Q from the straights. So hopefully we will see numbers soon. Thanks for the report

Splitshot,

No worries, I didn't feel that you were accusing me of anything. I too am shocked at the problem this is becoming. Hopefully the Sheriff's Dept. will step up patrols in those areas. Next time I go fishing I'll take anything of value out of my car and leave it unlocked. Hopefully that will prevent a broken window.

I thought about trolling the lower Sno but think I'll put in at Everett and try the salt tomorrow. When I do try the lower Sno is the launch at Langus Park or the Rotary Launch safe? Langus seems to get a regular patrol and there is a lot of joggers and folks using the Park but I'm not sure about Rotary. Its used less and all the trees kind of obscure the view. I think when I try the lower Sno, I'll launch at Langus.
