whats up with the coho runs this year?! I've been out numerous times this year and have only had one hook up so far.... must just be a tough year. anyways, went to the carbon today behind the turd factory and didnt hook up or see one caught. the water color was absolutely perfect despite the rain and the river was a little high which was pretty promising. i tried everything in my vest from blue foxes to steel-lees but no hook ups only one rolling and no one else caught anything either. i dont know whats up with the run this year i heared on the news that it was supposed to be the biggest and best run in years, but i suppose that was just to sell licenses or something cause fishing has been rediculously slow for coho this year. good luck to anyone going though maybe you'll have better luck than i did.

all I'm saying is, don't give up hope just yet, just be ready when they arrive in large numbers.

Yeah, most of the coho arrive in October. All the rain we had changed-up the water cycles in the ocean and brought up a fresh food supply, so most of the silvers are still in the bay.

its still strange though, normally you can pick up decent amounts of silvers after the fair starts... and it stinks cause as soon as the rivers get loaded in october im out hunting near idaho. its just been a wierd year this year, my dad keeps telling me to be ready though cause it will only be hot for a while. i did however, talk to a guy down there who had landed a bright king and a silver the day before.
