Didn't have the energy to fight the crowds this morning so I drove down to the gravel bar around 9:30am. Lots of fisherman already there and more still arriving! Old Mounts Rd was lined up with cars on both sides. Saw two Kings landed inside of 10 minutes and lots of fish jumping and rolling. One King was around 12-15# and in pretty good shape. Guy caught it on an orange corkie and orange yarn with a 24" leader. Didn't get a close look at the other fish but it was bending the rod to the breaking point. From the looks of the fish rolling and jumping this could be a new run behind the boots that are left over from the run that started a month ago. They were still in good condition. Didn't see any silvers. Too bad tomorrow is Sunday. Won't be able to get near the bank after the tribes start putting their boats in.
