Effective date: Sept. 18 through Dec. 31, 2010.
Location: Cowlitz River from boundary markers at the mouth to 400 feet below Mayfield Dam Powerhouse.
Species affected: Chinook salmon

10/4/2010 7:16:00 AMit was not a chinook, it was a sliver, you can tell by the hook nose and its gums in the mouth were white. but i got him on a pink corky and yarn. limit is 6 silvers on the cowlitz too :) didnt see any chinooks caught the other day. one guy said he caught a 30 pound chinook on friday

10/7/2010 10:08:00 AMtasted great. I put the fish in the smoker on tuesday and it came out great. the meat was a nice brigh red/orange color.
