1st I'd like to thank the friend who let me in on this little hole on the Duwamish. Hopefully I can return the favor sometime soon. Got to the river about 9:15, water was pretty high. We started drifting corky and yarn and I predicted we would all hook up at 10am since today is 10/10/10. Low and behold at 10 minutes to 10 on 10/10/10 I thought I hit a familar snag until I felt the head shake and it was fish on! One run down stream a little ways, another across the river and he started to inch his way in, about 10' from the bank he dives, then charges the bank and ends up in the submerged grass at my feet! My buddie's superb netting skills got him secured 1st try and it was all over. Dime bright wild buck, 12.5lbs cleaned, my PB for a keeper river fish. I fished until about 1:30, had a few more bumps and only saw one fish rise the whole time we were there.
