Fished the stilly from about 10:00-2:00 and still could not land a silver. Landed one chum about 8 or 9 pounds with sea lice. Does anyone know how long after a fish hits the fresh water, do they lose the sea lice? I lost 4 fish and will assume they all were chum. Although, one looked like it might have been a silver, it caught some serious air and got the attention of all the other fishers on the other side of the river. On it's second jump I lost it, and again my hook is straightened. Decided to stop at hook line and sinker and get some hooks (gami's) to replace the dick nite hooks that can't seem to keep there shape. It only seems to happen on the jumps into the air, my drag is not to tight, just weak hooks I think. Anyways I didn't see any silvers caught today and only 2 or 3 other chum...although I read about the limit caught with smelly jelly and jigs. I wish it was legal to use scent in the stilly....I would use it.
