Fished @ barrier dam from about 10-1 before the rain came. Went 2 of 5. 1st was about a 12# wild coho in ok shape that I C&R. One guy wanted to keep it if I wasn't going to and I told him no, it was a native. I revived it and it swam away on its own. The second was a snag on about a 10" cutthroat or rainbow that I also released, so today I went away empty handed, but still had a good time on the river today, just not lights out like some reports suggested along with over 10k Coho going through each week for the past 2 weeks. About 8 around me drift fishing got a few hook-ups with maybe 20% landed. The best were in ok shape. More than half were not in good enough shape to keep. I'd estimate about 50 bank fishermen spread out mostly on the north side at barrier this morning. people hooking up with fish but had to work for it. water high. fast in many places. Got tangled with someone elses line once, but folks on both sides of me must have got tangled with each other about 5 times while I was there.
