Checked the river at the Sultan Bridge and saw it was running high and rising. I know it's a bit early and has been early but I am a Steelie junkie so I attemped to use my float and jig fishing at 5ft depth, close to the shore. I did not catch anything today but I stand firm towards my personal motto, Cast two thousand times while completely enjoying nature and then "Bam", "Fish-on!"

This is my first entry within this site. I have read many reports and I thank those of you for your information and grand tales towards the love of our fishing passion.

thanks for joining the ranks of "report posters"! One of my best steelhead ever caught was in high water conditions, practically in the brush/trees.

I too thank you for the report and concur with your judgment of nature appreciation in regards to steelheading. My biggest steel came in high water conditions as well as torrential rain! HEhehe. I'll probably see you out there.

I love fishing the sky when it gets up high. My 3 best days for summers was during 10k CFS conditions. When the water is murky try adding bait to your offering or using just bait instead of the jig, it helps a ton with little/no vis.
