We put in at first light, about a mile above the lower hatchery. In my buddy's drift boat, we tried several different presentations throughout the day, all to no avail. The skunk was upon us. It was a busy day on the river. We saw at least 6 other drift boats and over 10 bank anglers. No one did any good all day, not even the guide boats. There were several people that remarked that last Thursday was the hot day out there. Guess we were three days too late.

We tried lots of things...shrimp under a bobber, drifting eggs, pink jig under a bobber, Wigglers, Mepps spinners, Blue Fox spinners, nothing worked.

The river had been blown out last weekend but looked really good today, with nice color and about 4' visibility.

Just have to keep hitting this river 'til it pays off!
