Fished with my cousin today on the Mighty PO., his first time fishing for pike, He missed his first 7 bites, so i finally hooked a fish for him and handed him the pole LOL Water temps were 42 deg, in the main channel and up to 53 deg. in some of the shallow slews (less then 2 to 3 feet deep). They had fish but no biters. The bay we fished was about 45 at best but held the fish that were interested in biting. We ended up with 5 fish total, and the last fish of the day he hooked all by himself and it turned out to be the largest of the day at 6.2 lb. not a big one my any means but a nice fish. I got a 5.8 fish also and 1 other over 5
He had fun and we got some nice fish it was a good day even though the bite was a little slow. I took some pixs but havent downloaded them yet off the camera so no pixs of our fishys today
