Took a friend and his grandson for their first pike fishing trip on the pend oreille sat. morning overcast and light rain. wish my first pike fishing trip went as well as theirs did! My friends got to take home some pike to eat, and I now have four 10$ lures that are destroyed to replace. What are friends for great time. caught fish all day untill 30mph wind blew us off river around 3:30. The fish were all around the 20-30" range. one big fish, she went back in.

Wow what a catch. Were you fishing the sloughs or main river channel?

All i would like to know is where did you launch from and were you trolling or just casting? Never fished for pike before and would love to try it.

Fantastic job keeping those smaller fish, I do the same thing. I only throw back the 36" or longer fish. We should have been doing that since they should up in the river.
